# Belgium's e-invoicing regulation timeline

  **E-invoicing and e-reporting systems enforced to date**<br />
  From January 1st 2026, all invoices must be delivered in the `EN 16931` electronic format. Even though legislation doesn't mention Peppol, in practice it's the only compliant network in Belgium. Businesses supplying the public sector are already required to issue EN 16931 electronic invoices when the contract meets the criteria.
